The Food Friends

About Me

This blog is about food, my friends, Los Angeles and anything else that peaks my interest.
When I was a kid EVERYTHING was in my moms kitchen. IF a recipe called for dessicated liver with a touch of truffle oil, my mom had it. As an adult I realized, (until now) I never truly stocked my kitchen. I used to walk into my kitchen and think… I could cook, but that would involve washing dishes. MY kitchen was for keeping Absolute vodka… cold, ice ..frozen, and a home for my microwave. In other words a dirty martini and take out menus. I learned to cook as a child but ignored it as an adult. I recently moved downtown, where I found great supermarkets specializing in different foods and international cuisines. Between that and an odd obsession with the Food Network. I have rediscovered food in a city where no one thinks we eat.
